Traditional Turkish Handicrafts Hat / Calligraphy Courses Meet South African Art Lovers
Husnuhat / Calligraphy course was introduced to South African art lovers by the Yunus Emre Institute and took 8 weeks from on 15th of September to on 15th of December 2018. The course was held in the Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Turkish Art Gallery Hall.
In the calligraphy course, theoritical trainings were given for the history of calligraphy art, and the courses were taught to the participants about the terms used in calligraphy, signs, sülüs and nesih. The participants found the opportunity to develop themselves through calligraphy by witnessing a comprehensive training from writing preparation to mastery.
With the Husnuhat course, which attracts great interest from individuals of all age groups and professions, trainees saw the coming together of Turkish and South African cultures closely and enabled them to get to know each other closely.
